On Saturday, the family went to this month’s Seattle Bloggers Unite field trip. We met up in downtown Seattle to take a private tour of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Great things are happening with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Visitor Center. It was very interesting to see how they are making a difference in the world.
In the inspiration room, there were quotes on the walls that really got me thinking. Thinking of ways I could give back, but also thinking about blogging. I want to share the quotes with you today in hopes of inspiring you.
Quotes to inspire you to use your blog for good
On a different level from the Gates Foundation, your blog is probably helping someone! You use your creative ways to help families live on a budget. You teach others new skills. You share uplifting stories to help lighten our days.
You are making a difference.
I hope you found these phrases motivating. Whether it inspires you to help others through your blog or out in your everyday life, go out and make a difference. You can use your blog for good. In fact, I think your blog will be more successful if you are helping someone in some way though your blog. They always say that a successful business/product solves a problem, and I think the same is true for a blog.
Here are a few pictures from the event.
Seattle Bloggers at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
Can you find me and the other Seattle bloggers on the photo booth wall? What about Doran and the future boy bloggers of Seattle?
Listening to the presentation. (Look even Devin is in the pictures. I like it when he comes along to blogging things with me.)
One last picture. I stole this from Gayle of Seattle Makes Me. I didn’t actually make it to the bathrooms at the Foundation, but I think this pictures shows you the atmosphere inspiration of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Kristie,
This post captures why I am blogging! I want to help younger women learn from all my mistakes so that they don’t have to make the same mistakes I did. Yet another great post! Thanks for taking the time to write and thus make a difference in individual lives!
Those are definitely inspirational quotes and the Gates’ visitor center is such an inspirational place! I wish I could have come to this meetup-it looked like a really good one:)
