#BlogElevated

Date: Tuesdays
Time: 7pm PT |8pm MT | 9pm CT | 10pm ET
Host: Blog Elevated, blogelevated.com

If you really want to learn blogging techniques– this is the blogging chat for you. The #blogelevated chat always has great information and current tips and strategies for bloggers. Blog Elevated is a blogging conference in Texas, but you certainly don’t need to go to the conference to participate in the Twitter chat.

#Createlounge

Date: Wednesdays
Time: 5pm PT | 6pm MT | 7pm CT | 8pm ET
Host: Kayla Hollatz, kaylahollatz.com

I participated in my first #createlounge chat last week. Some power house bloggers show up in that chat. Not only can you learn from the fabulous host, Kayla, but you can also get great insights from the other bloggers that show up to chat. If you’re looking for creative, blogging inspiration and tips make sure to check this chat out.

#NectarChat

Date: Wednesday
Time: 6pm PT |7pm MT | 8pm CT | 9pm ET
Host: Melyssa Griffin, thenectarcollective.com

The #nectarchat is brand new and takes place every other Wednesday. Once you’re done with the #createlounge, just hop over and chat with Melyssa and friends. Melyssa’s bright and bold website personality carries over to the #nectarchat.

#ellechat

Date: Thursdays
Time: 5pm PT | 6pm MT | 7pm CT | 8pm ET
Host: Lauren Hooker, elleandcompanydesign.com

I have yet to participate in the #ellechat, but have heard so many good things and recommendations that I had to include it on this list. Chat host Lauren is a blogging, business, Squarespace, and design guru. Get another dosage of 2 hours of twitter chats by continuing on with the #blisschat after the #ellechat.

#blisschat

Date: Thursdays
Time: 6pm PT |7pm MT | 8pm CT | 9pm ET
Host: Charissa Moore, house-of-bliss.com

Take your blog/business to the next level with the saucy entrepreneur, Charissa Moore. Join other online biz owners for the #blisschat. This chat is all about empowering your blog/business by using your words.

#SITSBlogging

Date: Saturdays
Time: 7am PT | 8am MT | 9am CT | 10am ET
Host: Sits Girls, thesitsgirls.com

The #SitsBlogging chat is different from the other chats listed here. There isn’t a guided discussion, but rather bloggers sharing links to their best posts from the week and chatting about them. It is all about sharing and caring, and meeting new friends. Connected to it is a link party on the SITS Girls website.

Tips for Twitter chats.

For chats that ask questions, always make sure to reply to the answer with A1, A2, A3, etc. in front of your tweet. Also, be courteous to your followers who aren’t participating in the chat and reply to tweets instead of broadcasting to all your followers. Learn more about using the @ symbol in Twitter.

Don’t forget the hashtag. I know it sounds silly, but I make this mistake all the time. You aren’t part of the conversation if you aren’t using the hash tag.

Interact with other people’s answers as well as chat with the host.

Why take part in Twitter Chats?

Twitter chats are a great opportunity to connect with other bloggers or small business owners. I have met a lot of my online friends through Twitter chats! Chats are also a great way to learn and be inspired. Being an online entrepreneur can be a lonely road sometimes – Twitter chats give you the opportunity to have online colleagues that you can bounce ideas off of, get inspiration from, and building lasting relationships with.

Living in the Pacific Time zone makes it hard for me to catch Twitter chats (I’m usually cooking or eating dinner. I used to try to chat and cook dinner at the same time, but it resulted in too many burnt dinners). When I do get to jump in though, I do so because I enjoy them, I love making new blogging friends / finding new blogs to read, I always learn something new from twitter chats, and I like to see if I can help anyone out during the chats.

Why do you participate in Twitter chats? Which chats are your favorite?

    Great work, Kristie!

I’m a huge fan of Twitter Chats – the best time I spend on Twitter, in my opinion. Great opportunities to network, build relationships and learn from other businesses in specific communities.

Thank you so much for this helpful information! I’ve never been a part of a Twitter chat, but I’m definitely going to check it out after reading this. When you mentioned, “always make sure to reply to the answer with A1, A2, A3, etc. in front of your tweet” does that mean you number your responses?

Most chats will ask questions and number them Q1, etc. You only need to respond with A1: when directly answering those questions. Good luck!

Great info thanks! Would love a newbie post on how to participate on a Twitter chat. How do you get it to show you a thread of the chat so you can follow along and join in?
