I gotta tell you, I have looked forward to this post all month! Last month’s new/improved blogs had such a great response! One of the funnest parts of my job is working with other bloggers and watching them grow and succeed. You are going to love the blogs I am featuring today.
Let’s get started.
Craft Remedy
Connect: Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest
Craft Remedy started in February 2014 on a blogger blog by sister-in-laws. Let me tell ya, I think that’s the way to go (with a sister-in-law that is)! It would be nice to have a partner in crime. They recently decided to take their blog to the next level by switching to WordPress. Ali and Breanna moved their blog from Blogger to WordPress on their own using this tutorial. They did a great job, and their new site is drool worthy.
What I’m loving: The home page. Earlier this week I talked about using post excerpts for the blog page instead of full articles. Craft Remedy is a great example of this in action. Another way (as Sarah pointed out in the comments) to achieve this same results of excerpts is with a gallery! The Craft Remedy category page features thumbnail galleries for their articles. It is a great way for readers to find content that interests them! The best part? Their theme came built ready!
I talked to Breanna about their theme and she said the only changes they made to the theme were some font changes and some color changes. Pretty easy customizations! Ali redesigned their logo and they had pictures of themselves taken (great addition!).

The Realistic Optimistic
I met Brittany through a #SITSblogging twitter chat. Brittany’s about bio says, “I consider myself a realistic optimist and enjoy helping others to see the bright side of things.” Her improved blog story fits this mold perfectly!
A couple of months ago, Brittany decided to make the hop from Squarespace to WordPress. It was no walk in the park. Unlike moving from Blogger to WordPress, there aren’t very many helpful tools. Brittany worked with her hosting support and put in the time of manually moving her content over. If that wasn’t enough, there was also some trouble with her domain name!
What I’m loving: Brittany didn’t let the challenges of her blog transfer hold her back, or stop her from going live with her new site! Like Brittany says, “We all have obstacles to overcome. We’re growing every day. It’s a journey” I want all of you (yes, YOU!) to learn from Brittany. Your blog is growing every day. It is a journey. Don’t let the challenges stop you!
I am also really loving a recent post she wrote called Therapeutic Blogging. You should go read it.

Travelling Tulsan

Emily is a photographer and travel blogger. I can’t wait to see what adventures she will go on next! Emily’s blog is 1 month old!
What I’m loving: The logo/header design. It’s gorgeous and I think it perfectly depicts the main focus of Travelling Tulsan.
Theme: designed by The Blog Boat.
Head over and give these new/improved blogs some love! Also, I want to thank Emily, Brittany, and Breanna/Ali for letting me part of your blogging journey! I can’t wait to see what’s in store for your blogs!

Thank you for showing my blog some love Kristie! I look forward to implementing more of your tips and tricks 🙂
You’re welcome! I’ve loved watching your blog from day 1!
I just recently met Brittany and I love her and her blog! That post about therapeutic blogging was amazing.
I’ll have to check out your other recommendations.
Thanks for sharing.
xoxo
Thanks for stopping by Jennifer!
All of these look like wonderful blogs 🙂
Making the switch to WP has been a headache and rewarding for me.
I think this is a wonderful monthly share Kristie, such a sweetheart! #Community Love it!
XOXO
You switched recently, right? I love the new blog.
All great sites! I love this series because it not only introduces me to new bloggers to follow and be inspired by, but because it helps to bolster my confidence about doing things myself on my blog.
Great series, Kristie!
Aww, you know, that is the goal of my blog: to help other succeed at doing things on their own blog!
Thank you so much for this; what a super surprise! I agree with Breanna in saying that your blog was a lifesaving resource in transitioning my blog to WordPress. You are an amazing support and your desire to help your fellow bloggers is an inspiration. Thanks again!
You’re welcome Brittany! I’m glad things worked out for you!
Thank YOU Kristie! Our transition seriously wouldn’t have gone so smoothly if we didn’t have your blog as our main resource! We love reading your posts because they are so helpful! P.S. Many thanks for the shout out!
You’re welcome! Can’t wait to see where your blog goes next!
