Today marks post #4 of Alex Beadon’s Feel Better Blogging Challenge.
The prompt for today is 10 things you might not know about me. I always have a hard time with theses kind of posts because I can never think of anything interesting. I usually start with, I am the only girl of 4 brothers.
That’s how I got a brilliant idea for today’s post. I’m going to let my brother’s tell you 10 things about me that you might not know. It’s been kind of fun, and they’ve told me some things that even I didn’t remember. Like how I thought about being a mechanic and I once made a floral arrangement out of ice cream. Oh, and apparently I accidentally talk like a chipmunk when I’m excited.
10 things you might not know about Kristie Hill – according to her brothers.
1. I am the only girl of 4 brothers.
“You have four brothers, at times you can act more boyish than any of them” -Yeah, that is true.
This is a picture of me and my 4 brothers on my wedding day. It is my favorite picture of the 4 of us. Like many sibling relationships, they were/are my best friends and worst enemies. For the most part, we had a great time together.

Here’s a picture of the 4 of them from this summer. (Alex, if you’re reading this, I edited this with your ocean wave Photoshop action – thanks!)
2. I’m a competitive
“You are crazy competitive”
“As a child you could beat me in a wrestling match, and you probably still could today.” – I doubt it, I’m a weakling these days
“You have a little bit of a tom boy competitive side”
-Beware of family game night!
3. I play with my hair in uncomfortable situations
“You twirl your hair on the right side of your head when you’re answering difficult questions or trying to remember something”
“You run both hands in your hair when frustrated”
4. I’m kind of clumsy
“You broke your collar bone falling off a toy slide”
“You have a talent for running into stationary objects” -I’ll save that for another day, when I have to tell an embarrassing story
“You have lots of broken bones”
5. I have weird joints
“You’re thumb bends weird”
“You’re double jointed in some weird places, which allows you to bend in strange ways” -Good for winning wrestling matches and thumb wars!
6. I ran my first business when I was 14
“You ran your first business at the age of 14, the haunted house”
“You ran a haunted house”
-One of the funnest things I did growing up. In the off season, my friends and I would sell candy after school to earn money for more props. Halloween is still one of my favorite holidays.

7. I was a band nerd in high school
“You played the bass clarinet” -It’s true. I loved being part of the band in high school. From symphonies to football games, I loved it all! One of my proudest moments in high school was receiving a letter inviting me to the Washington State honor band
8. I have strong emotions
“You cry for random reasons”
“Food effects your mood”
“You were a bossy baby sitter”
9. I like Harry Potter
“You got your entire family into the Harry Potter franchise” -Yep. This is my favorite Harry Potter comic because I think it explains me very well.

One of my a favorite Harry Potter quotes, “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” -Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban
10. I had bangs
“You once had bangs” -Here is proof:
There you have it, 10 things you might not know about me, according to my brothers. Preston wins favorite brother, because he had the nicest things to say about me.

My very favorite post! Thank you for sharing! I also LOVE Harry Potter…I feel very strongly that I should have been cast as Mrs. Weasley in the movies. A house full of redheads…we wear hand me downs and my husband works for the government (AKA The Ministry of Magic!) This post made me smile…Thanks!
You should have! I might just think of you as Mrs. Weasley from now on. Janelle, the more I learn about you, the more I realize we are a lot alike!
Woohoo, Harry Potter for the win!!! I’m a Hufflepuff, and you?
I love that you had your brothers help you put this together, very clever way of interpreting the prompt. ๐
It was much easier having someone else write it!
I love this – such a great idea. Trips down memory lane are great, but having your brothers do it? Priceless.
It was fun! My brothers were jealous so we had to do it for all of us.
Still smiling as I scrolled to comment. What a fantastic idea to have your brothers pull 10 things together.
Your post just reminded me of something (making haunted houses) that I WILL be posting about in the next week or so (so thank you!)
I can’t wait to read your haunted house post! Send me a link when it’s live!
Haha! So cute! I have three brothers that drove me crazy growing up. And to think now that I enjoy their company. I have a weird thumb, too — a hitchhiker’s thumb. How fun was the haunted house idea?! Cute post. Thanks for sharing!
Glad to be in the company of another blogger with weird thumbs!
Great idea for the post ask ok.g your brothers for insight. I am looking forward to reading your blog, found you through the 7 Day Challenge. I came to the party a little late, but truly enjoying this experience!
It has been a fun challenge. I haven’t been keeping up very well…
That is such an awesome idea having your brothers say the 10 things about you!! I can definitely relate to numbers 5 & 8!! My right thumb joint can pop in and out (freaks people out lol) & I get super affected by emotional things. I cry all the time lol Awesome post ๐

Yeah, it was fun to see their answers. I have a hard time talking about myself sometimes, so this was easier.
Hi Kristie:
The picture with your brothers is lovely!
Your first business was so cool! I’ve never been into a haunted house; I think I’ll end up screaming like crazy even though I love horror and ghost stories hehe.
Greetings!
You should go! The thrill is kind of fun!
I Love That you had a Haunted house business!
It was one of the coolest things I did growing up. My parents are so cool for letting us change their backyard into a haunted house. ๐
I love that you asked your brothers for the facts, how creative! ๐ Also, those bangs are FAB. ๐
Yes, FAB is the right word.
I loved everything about this post… Especially the wedding pic
Great post! I like your photos too! I can relate to the emotion part for sure lol
